Occupational Therapy

At Therapy 4U, our dedicated team of Occupational Therapists (OTs) is focused on improving the lives of individuals with physical, psychosocial, sensory, or cognitive disabilities.

We provide tailored support for clients of all ages and abilities, ensuring that each person's unique needs and goals are met. Whether you're seeking assistance for yourself or a loved one, our OTs are here to help manage daily tasks, develop important skills, and enhance overall quality of life.

We specialise in children and youth neuro-divergence OT

Our Occupational Therapists (OTs) work closely with you and the participant to develop the skills they need to gain independence in their daily activities. We offer services to participants who may be experiencing delays or difficulties in areas such as gross and fine motor skills, as well as social skills.

We use evidence-based strategies, conduct standardised assessments, provide detailed reports, assist with funding applications, and offer parent training to help the participant build confidence, self-esteem, and independence.

We can support participants in the following areas:

  • Self-care skills

Helping participants master everyday tasks like dressing, tying shoelaces, or completing tasks in a logical sequence.

  • School skills

Enhancing core and upper limb strength, as well as coordination, to develop key skills needed at school, such as writing, cutting, and sitting.

  • Play skills

Play is essential to a child's development. We assist in building fine motor skills, strength, and hand-eye coordination required for play, which helps develop social, cognitive, and motor skills.

  • Sensory, social, and emotional regulation

Addressing participant's sensory experiences, which can impact their behaviour and ability to manage emotions. This may be helpful if the participant is overly sensitive to sensations like clothing tags or bathing, or if they struggle to register sensations such as pain or temperature.

Our Occupational Therapists also specialise in working with adults living with psychosocial or physical disabilities, providing comprehensive assessments for Assistive Technology (AT) to enhance daily functioning and independence. We take the time to understand your unique needs and circumstances, ensuring that we recommend the most suitable tools and supports. Reach out to us today, and let us develop a personalised intervention plan designed specifically for you.
